Shopper's Guide to Pesticides 2009
Announcing a new update to an old favorite: it's the 5th edition of the Environmental Working Group's classic "Shopper's Guide To Pesticides", now with the latest government data. Just go to www.foodnews.org
This handy guide shows you the fruits and veggies with the most and least pesticides so that you know which to insist on organic and which are pretty clean even when conventionally grown. You can even print out a wallet-sized guide to take with you to the store.
Pesticides get into our food and water, creating serious health concerns for all. Of course, we all know about the importance of using a Multi-Pure filter for our drinking water, but are you washing your fruits and veggies in pure water too? Multi-Pure drinking water systems reduce herbicides, pesticides, and many other agricultural pollutants, in addition to tons of other contaminants that find their way into our water!
The ground and air are warming up, so this year try planting a small garden in your yard or even in pots on a patio if you live in an apartment. You'll reduce your exposure to harmful pesticides, plus you'll even save some money!
